David won a scholarship to Christ Church, Oxford in 1929. He went on to found "Hewitt, Ogilvy, Benson & Mather" in 1948. In 1962, Time Magazine called David “the most sought-after wizard in today's advertising industry." David was then made a Commander of the Order of British Empire (CBE) in 1967 and was appointed Chairman of the United Negro College Fund in 1968. He was a trustee on the Executive Council of the World Wildlife Fund in 1975 and elected to the US Advertising Hall of Fame in 1977. David’s best-selling books “Ogilvy on Advertising” & “Confessions of an Advertising Man” are two of the most popular and famous books on advertising to this day.

David Ogilvy was an inspirational leader and his words are held in the highest regard.
